Yvonne Paterson and Scott Mitchell

Formed in 2006, Yvonne Paterson and Scott Mitchell now perform regularly throughout the United Kingdom.

Together they have reached the finals of the 2009 Royal Overseas league competition and won 2nd Prize in the Performing Australian Music Competition. They have performed at various music society venues across the country and in 2010 each player will perform a concerto in the same concert with the Eastbourne Philharmonic.

In addition to the standard repertoire, the duo are keen to promote both the contemporary repertoire by composers such as Jolivet, Jacques Hetu, and Boulez as well as more recent compositions by Edwin Roxburgh, Carl Vine and Ian Clarke amongst others.

The duo are also joined on occasion by cellist Ivan McCready (formerly of the Duke Quartet) and various vocalists thereby adding to the variety of repertoire through chamber music performances.
